EMSAC data base : research projects, clusters, and infrastructures

A survey and analysis of RTD projects relating to coastal water quality management was carried out.

To this end a major requirement was to define a methodology focusing on topics of principal relevance to the wider goals of EMSAC. Keywords were also used to map projects with respect to innovation factors. The selected RTD projects are stored in a database accessible online. This database offers the following content:

High-level data on about 100 major projects, plus detailed information on most projects when available
Keyword data on each project
Data on institutions and centres of capability involved in each project

The database has been designed to allow on-line querying. This is a powerful capability for gap analysis and mapping onto cluster capacity.
