ESONET 2nd Best Practice Workshop

ESONET organises its Best Practices Workshop #2 in Brest on the 8-9th October 09 with the support of Europole Mer. Registration are extended until the 22nd September 09 midnight. So only one week left!

You will find on the ESONET webpage an updated version of the Agenda and a draft presentation of sessions and session panels. Updated information will be frequently uploaded on the website. Do not forget to check it!

  • Panel 1-2 “Acoustic sensors”, dealing with bioacoustic measures
  • Panel 2-1 “Design comparison – Cabled observatories”
  • Panel 2-2 “Design comparison – Stand alone observatories”, dealing with observatories design using acoustics transmission
  • Panel 2-3 “20 years plus components – Mechanical issues”, dealing with long term mechanical resistance of immersed components
  • Panel 3-2 “Smart sensors and other interface issues”.  
Registration cost

For ESONET members, cost for participation to the Best Practices workshop is covered by ESONET WP2. Amongst Europole Mer members, Ifremer, IUEM/UBO and Oceanopolis qualify as ESONET members.

For non ESONET members, cost for participation is covered by Europole Mer. This invitation extends to Europole Mer members as well as beyond Europole Mer members, including overseas participants.

Transport cost

Note that in both cases (ESONET and non ESONET members), transport is not included in this cost and remains the responsibility of participants. However a small number of grants is available from Europole Mer to cover transportation cost as well. Please contact Jean-François Rolin (Jean.Francois.Rolin@ifremer.fr) if you would like to apply.
