INTERNATIONAL MEETINGS

With the financial support of the university cluster PRES UEB, Europole Mer organises or co-organises the following events :

Structuring the European Research Area
The future of the 21st Century ocean.
Marine Sciences and European Research Infrastructures - An international symposium. This initiative held in 2011 addresses European Strategic Forum for Research Infrastructures (ESFRI) of marine infrastructures.

Based on the 2010 Submesoscale conference, a call is open for proposal for a Gordon-like conference to take place in 2012.

Supporting "Specific Training Support Initiaitves"
The Europole Mer has launched a call for projects in January 2009 for applications for co-funding of specific training courses. Four projects were co-funded :

Iceland in the Northen Atlantic: Hotspot, sea currents and climate changes (2010)
Bacteriology European Days (J-UEB) (14-16 octobre 2009).
